Learn More Than a Recipe
The training, experience, and philosophy behind every lesson.
From Pastry Chef to Culinary Instructor
Classical Training
Chef Julia graduated with highest honors from Le Cordon Bleu College in Pasadena with a degree in Pastry and Baking. Her formal training gave her a strong foundation in technique, precision, ingredient function, and the science behind successful baking.
From Catering to Teaching
After graduation, Chef Julia launched a custom catering company, creating from-scratch menus tailored to each client’s needs. She later began donating cooking classes through a women’s philanthropy organization, guiding participants through complete menus while teaching technique, timing, and flavor.
Those classes revealed how much she loved helping others feel capable and confident in the kitchen. After stepping away from catering to raise her family, she returned to the culinary world in the role she finds most rewarding: Chef Instructor.
A Science-Based Approach
Today, Chef Julia teaches students not only what to do, but why each technique works. She explains how ingredients, temperature, timing, texture, and method affect the final result, helping students build knowledge they can apply across many recipes rather than simply following one set of instructions.
Her lessons are interactive, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s goals, experience level, and pace. Chef Julia welcomes questions, checks for understanding, and gives students room to make decisions, solve problems, and learn through experience. Whether she is working with a young beginner, a teen building independence, or an adult refining their skills, her goal is to replace kitchen uncertainty with curiosity, creativity, confidence, and practical know-how.
